Q1: Do I need to live in Deep Cove to register with Mt. Seymour?

In order to register for MSLL you must reside east of Lynn Creek or attend a school that is in the MSLL catchment. If you live anywhere west of Lynn Creek, you must register with one of the other Little League associations on the North Shore – West Vancouver, Highlands or Lynn Valley.

Go to the following website and input your address to verify you are within the MSLL boundaries: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/league-finder/findmyleague.com

Q2: If my child has not played baseball for MSLL before, can I register him or her online?

Yes!  We will however need a bit of additional information provided via e-mail or our assessments in February:

  1. A copy of the player’s birth certificate.
  2. Proof of residency – this is a copy of a utility bill – eg. phone, Internet, hydro or cable TV bill.

Q3: Is the online registration process ‘secure’?

Yes, the electronic registration process uses secure technology.

Q4: What is the ‘early-bird’ rate about, and how much is it?

In order to encourage our members to register early, and therefore to allow the league additional time to arrange facilities for assessments, form teams, enlist coaches etc., we are offering an early bird rate. This consists of a $25 discount for all registrations received on or before the early bird deadline (December 15, 2025).

Q5: Do I pay full price for all my children?

There will be a $25 multiple child discount for the 3rd, 4th or 5th child.  Each child must be registered under the same username to receive the discount.

Q6: I don’t have Internet access – can I register in-person?

Yes – we can assist with registration over the phone.

Q7: Who can I talk to if I have other questions about registration?

Email registrar@msll.ca.

Q8: Do you accept late registrations?

MSLL will accept late registrations after the registration deadline. Placement cannot be guaranteed, so please register early! Players may be placed on a wait list as divisions fill up. Payment of registration fees for any player placed on a wait list will not be processed until the player is removed from the wait list and placed on the regular roster of a team in the appropriate division.

Q9: Which division should I register my child for?

Please see the Divisions menu, which describes the age groupings by division for the MSLL. The registration system will automatically place players in the default division based on their age. If you would like to request either a higher or lower division, you can specify that during the registration process.

Q10: Will the online registration process allow me to submit requests, such as requesting a certain coach, or requesting that my child be able to play with specific friends?

Yes, for Blastball, T-Ball, Rookie Junior and Rookie Senior divisions, the online registration system provides an area for friend requests. For the older divisions, teams are selected using a draft in order to ensure that teams are balanced and that all teams, and therefore all players, have an equal chance for success. For this reason, friend requests are not provided for these divisions.

Having said that, if you have some specific issues that feel need to be considered (conflicts with a certain coach etc.), please contact the Player Agent prior to the draft, playeragent@msll.ca

Q11: What are assessments?

For some divisions such as Blastball, Tball, Rookie Junior and Rookie Senior, we select the teams by simply placing players from a certain school together, or by placing friends on the same team. For divisions starting at the AA level, we use the assessments to evaluate each player so that we can distribute players in an equitable fashion. Assessment scores are also used to determine whether a player is placed in AA, AAA or Majors (subject to age requirements).

Q12: When & how will I find out what team my child is on?

The team draft/formation process for most divisions will be complete by early to mid March. You will be contacted directly by your team coach once the teams are ready. If you have not heard from a coach by mid March please contact the Player Agent at playeragent@msll.ca.

Q13: When does the season start, and how long does it last?

Most divisions will start playing toward the end of the first week of April, and will complete their playoffs toward the middle of June. For age groups starting at 8 years old there are various post-season All-Star opportunities that can extend the baseball season as far as the end of July, and for the Majors division up to the end of August (if they go to Williamsport!).
