MSLL is proud to host – Baseball Basics with Al Herback!
Al’s involvement as a player, coach and instructional trainer has spanned over 60 years. For the past 44 years, he has been training coaches and managers who have had an interest in working with children wanting to learn and play baseball. The game of baseball will never change, but the way we teach our children has changed considerably in the past few years. The majority of children only want to play and may not be concerned if they become great or even good. As every child is unique and will have strengths and weaknesses, we must do everything we can to help each one reach attainable goals with the skills of baseball/softball. They must always be in a safe environment, have fun through activity, be taught to improve their performance and, through your help, build the confidence in each individual child to succeed in this wonderful game!
Come out and experience his new instructional program. It will be truly beneficial to all coaches and managers working with these age groups and interested parents are always welcome. As this will be an event to enjoy, wear comfortable clothing, bring a glove, a lot of enthusiasm and Al will bring the program to life for you!
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. / Course starts at 6:00 p.m – both courses are at the Lucas Centre in North Vancouver

Teaching for Tomorrow is offered for 2 age groups:
•Players 4-7 years old – Baseball Basics (Rally Caps/Rookie Jr.)
•Players 8-12 years old – Beyond Basics (Rookie Sr., AA, AAA, Majors)
We would strongly encourage all MSLL head and assistant coaches to attend the clinic for the age group they are coaching. (but please sign up for the next level if you have previously attended and looking for further development)
These clinics are open to ALL parents even if you are not coaching this season. The clinics are free – all participants are asked to simply bring a donation to the food bank. A manual for each session will be available for purchase for $5.00.
